Aerial Arts

Aerial arts have been an important part of Monika’s circus life for many years. Whether on aerial silks, lyra, or trapeze, she is inspired by the unique combination of strength, flexibility, creativity, and the special feeling of moving freely through the air.

Teaching this fascinating circus discipline is particularly close to her heart. Aerial arts not only develop physical strength and coordination but also build confidence, courage, and body awareness. They can be explored individually, in pairs, or as part of a group.

As a professional aerial artist with many years of performance and teaching experience, Monika shares both solid technical foundations and the joy of creative expression. With patience and sensitivity, she guides beginners and experienced students alike, creating a safe and supportive environment where learning, growth, and a love for aerial arts can flourish.

Aerial Silks/ Tissue

Aerial silks are one of the most captivating disciplines within the aerial arts. Strength, flexibility, elegance, and courage come together to create a unique form of movement in the air. Step by step, participants learn how to climb, explore their first poses, practice safe drops, and create beautiful sequences on the silks.

With many years of experience, a supportive teaching style, and a strong focus on safety, Monika guides both beginners and advanced students on their journey into the air. Alongside technique and strength development, she encourages creativity, joyful movement, and confidence in one’s own abilities.

Aerial silks offer the opportunity to challenge yourself, discover new perspectives, and experience the magic of aerial arts firsthand.

Aerial Hoop/ Lyra

The aerial hoop (lyra) combines elegance, strength, and creativity in a truly unique form of aerial arts. Perhaps that is why Monika feels so at home in this apparatus — after all, hoops have been part of her life for many years through her Hula Hoop journey.

Within the hoop, flowing movements, beautiful lines, and expressive shapes come to life. Depending on their experience level, participants learn mounts, poses, transitions, and short sequences. Along the way, they can explore solo skills as well as partner and group figures, encouraging not only individual growth but also trust, communication, and creative collaboration.

Safety, body awareness, and the joy of movement are always at the heart of the learning experience. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced aerialist, the aerial hoop offers endless opportunities to express yourself, build confidence, and discover aerial arts from a new perspective.

Trapez

The trapeze is a true circus classic, combining strength, elegance, dynamic movement, and playful creativity. Few aerial apparatuses capture the magic of traditional circus arts so beautifully while offering endless opportunities for creative exploration.

In her workshops, Monika teaches both fundamental trapeze techniques and more advanced skills, transitions, and sequences. A special focus lies on partner and group work. Drawing on her extensive background in AcroYoga and partner acrobatics, she guides participants in developing trust, communication, and creative collaboration while creating beautiful shapes and movements together in the air.

Whether practiced solo, with a partner, or as part of a group, trapeze invites students to discover new perspectives, build confidence, and experience the joy of creating together. Safety, body awareness, and a love for aerial arts are always at the heart of the learning process.
